The Boston Celtics have punched their ticket to the NBA Finals after a hard-fought Game 6 victory over the Miami Heat on Sunday at TD Garden. Despite a valiant effort from the Heat, the Celtics prevailed 100-96 to secure a 4-2 series triumph.
The game remained tight throughout, with neither team gaining a significant lead. However, the Celtics ultimately seized control in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Heat 30-22 to close out the series.
Derrick White emerged as a key contributor for the Celtics, scoring 22 points off the bench. Jayson Tatum led the way for Boston with 24 points, while Al Horford chipped in with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
For the Heat, Jimmy Butler led all scorers with 28 points, followed by Bam Adebayo with 25 points and 11 rebounds. However, the Heat were unable to overcome the Celtics' balanced scoring attack and relentless defense.
With the victory, the Celtics advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2018. They will face the winner of the Western Conference Finals series between the Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks.
